“The team at Island Pacific Energy has met or exceeded our expectations for performance in all phases of their work, including equipment installation, maintenance, system performance, savings, website creation, and follow-up. Of particular note, our savings exceeded projection by almost 80% after two years. As a result of their outstanding performance, Island Pacific Energy was recently authorized to expand the original installation by 30%.”

In the Fall of 2011, Chaminade University, Saint Louis School and the Marianists collectively issued an RFP for photovoltaic solar energy across the campus of the two schools. As non-profit organizations, they were not able to take advantage of the available tax credits. Therefore, they were looking for a Power Purchase Agreement.
Under a Power Purchase Agreement, Island Pacific Energy installed a 437kW photovoltaic solar power system at no upfront cost. Island Pacific Energy owns, operates and maintains the system and sells the energy generated to the three organizations at a cost lower than utility power. Island Pacific Energy’s Power Purchase Agreement is a collective benefit to Chaminade University, Saint Louis School and the Marianists.
The 437kW photovoltaic solar energy system is installed across the roofs of eight buildings on the campus of Chaminade University and Saint Louis School. The system consists of over 1,500 solar modules and nine inverters. The photovoltaic system is connected to the campus grid, providing energy to both organizations. The system generates over 640,000kWh of clean, renewable energy annually.
