In 2013, Oceanic Time Warner Cable was looking for a no upfront cost solution to lower their power bills and to achieve LEED certification for their facility. Oceanic Time Warner Cable selected Island Pacific Energy to meet their needs and provide a photovoltaic system under a Power Purchase Agreement.
Under a Power Purchase Agreement, Island Pacific Energy installed a photovoltaic solar power system at no cost to Oceanic Time Warner Cable. Island Pacific Energy owns, operates and maintains the system on the roof of the Oceanic Time Warner Cable’s Maui Lani facility and sells the energy generated to Oceanic at a cost lower than utility power.
The 115kW photovoltaic solar energy system is installed on the roof of Oceanic’s Maui Lani building. The system consists of over 400 solar modules and one inverter. The system generates over 180,000kWh of clean, renewable energy annually.
