Punahou School LogoIsland Pacific Energy was selected to install a 458kW solar electric facility across five buildings on the Punahou school. The system consists of 2176 solar modules and five inverters which delivers electricity to the school’s electrical grid, providing power to the entire campus where needed. The system generates over 750,000kWh of electricity annually. This renewable energy facility is owned, operated and maintained by Island Pacific Energy and the power generated is sold to the school at a competitive rate.

Omidyar K-1 Neighborhood – Punahou School

Honolulu, HI

Punahou School LogoThe 280kW solar electric facility is installed across the campus of the LEED Platinum Omidyar K-1 Neighborhood. The system consists of 874 solar modules mounted on the roof of six buildings and 132 unique Semi-Shade modules providing shade on six overhead structures and a covered walk way. The Semi-Shade modules have clear backing proving an attractive architectural design feature. The system generates over 380,000kWh of electricity annually.

The school avoids generating thousands of tons of harmful emissions such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide by purchasing the clean, renewable energy from this energy facility.

This renewable energy facility is owned, operated and maintained by Island Pacific Energy and the power generated is sold to the school at a competitive rate.
